Product Details

Scope of supply for Aviation Group

Forgings, round rods, steel plates, rings, seamless pipes, steel plates/steel belts, wire welding materials, welcome to inquire!

1. Introduction to GH4141 Materials

GH4141 is a precipitation hardening wrought nickel-based superalloy, featuring high tensile strength and creep rupture strength, as well as excellent oxidation resistance between 650℃ and 950℃. High aluminum, titanium and molybdenum content brings difficulty to ingot breaking, while the wrought semi-finished products possess good plasticity. It can be cold formed under annealed condition and welded, but welded joints are prone to strain aging cracks after heat treatment. Available product forms include thin sheets, strips, wires, disks, rings, forgings, bars and precision castings.

2. Chemical composition of GH4141

Alloy Limit C Cr Ni Al Ti Fe B Cu Mn Zr S Co P
GH4141 Minimum 0.06 18 Bal 1.40 3.00 – 0.003 – – – – 10.0 –
Maximum 0.12 20 1.80 3.55 5 0.010 0.50 0.50 0.07 0.015 12.0 0.015

Note: The Mn and Si limits above apply to bars, forgings, rings and wires; for sheets, strips and pipes: Mn≤0.35%, Si≤0.35%.

3. GH4141 application field

High aluminum, titanium and molybdenum composition makes ingot breakdown difficult, but wrought products have good plasticity. It supports cold forming in annealed state and welding, yet welded components easily produce strain aging cracks after heat treatment. Its supply forms cover thin sheets, strips, wires, disks, rings, forgings, bars and precision castings, widely used for aero and aerospace engine high-temperature components requiring high strength below 870℃ and oxidation resistance up to 980℃.
