1. Introduction to GH901 Materials
GH901 is an austenitic age-hardening Fe-43Ni-12Cr alloy strengthened by titanium, aluminum and other reinforcing elements, with trace boron and low carbon content. It obtains dispersion strengthening effect via metastable γ”[Ni3(Ti, Al)] phase, and trace aluminum inhibits the transformation of γ” phase to η-Ni3Ti phase. The alloy features high yield strength and rupture strength below 650℃, good oxidation resistance below 760℃ and stable microstructure for long-term service. As an early developed mature alloy, it is widely applied to manufacture rotating disk components (turbine disks, compressor disks, shaft journals, etc.), static structural parts, turbine outer rings and fasteners for aviation and ground gas turbine engines operating below 650℃.
