1. Introduction to Incoloy800H/Incoloy800HT Materials
Incoloy 800H/800HT share identical base chemical composition with Incoloy 800, differing only in carbon content; 800HT additionally contains up to 1% aluminum and titanium. Grade 800 is generally used at service temperatures around 593°C. 800H and 800HT are selected for environments above 593°C requiring superior creep and stress corrosion cracking resistance.
Incoloy 800HT resists a wide range of corrosive media. High nickel content delivers reliable stress corrosion cracking resistance under aqueous service conditions, while high chromium provides excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. It performs well against nitric acid and organic acids, though its resistance to sulfuric and hydrochloric acid is limited. Apart from potential pitting corrosion in halide environments, it offers good stability in oxidizing & non-oxidizing salt solutions, as well as water, steam, and mixed atmospheres of steam, air and carbon dioxide.

4. Incoloy 800H/800HT material characteristics
Metallographic structure of Incoloy 800H/800HT:
800H features face-centered cubic lattice structure. Ultra-low carbon content and optimized Ti:C ratio improve structural stability, anti-sensitization and intergranular corrosion resistance. Low-temperature annealing around 950℃ delivers fine grain microstructure.
5. Corrosion resistance of Incoloy 800H/800HT:
800H resists multiple corrosive media. High nickel content ensures good stress corrosion cracking resistance under aqueous conditions, and high chromium offers superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. It performs well against nitric acid and organic acids, while its resistance to sulfuric and hydrochloric acid is limited. Except for pitting risk in halide environments, it shows stable corrosion resistance in oxidizing & non-oxidizing salt solutions, water, steam, and mixed steam-air-carbon dioxide atmospheres.
