1. Introduction to 5083 Materials
5083 is an Al-Mg-Si alloy and has a wide range of uses. Especially in the construction industry, this alloy is indispensable and is a promising alloy. It has excellent corrosion resistance, good cold workability, and medium strength. The main alloy element of 5083 is magnesium, which has good forming processing performance, corrosion resistance and medium strength. It is used to manufacture aircraft fuel tanks, oil pipes, as well as sheet metal parts for transportation vehicles and ships, instruments, street lamp brackets and rivets, hardware products, electrical shells, etc.
AL-Mg alloy is a widely used anti-rust aluminum. This alloy has high strength, especially its strength: high plasticity and corrosion resistance, which cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. It has good plasticity when hardened semi-cooled work, low plasticity when hardened cold work, good corrosion resistance, cutting performance, and polishable.
