1. Introduction to SKD61 Materials
SKD61 is a hot-working mold steel. Corresponding Chinese grade under GB/T 1299-2000 is 4Cr5MoSiV1, it is the most widely used hot-working mold steel.

Before heat treatment: HRC15~20 (HB200~230)
Hardness after heat treatment: core HRC40°~45°, surface HV1000±100
Density: 7.85g/cm³
Hardness after TD treatment: core HRC 40°~45°, surface HV2500 and above

4. SKD61 application scope
SKD61 is the most widely used die casting mold material for aluminum and zinc alloys. This high-alloy heat-resistant steel fits hot working scenarios, applicable for aluminum, magnesium, zinc, copper alloy die casting molds, slotting cutters, shears, hot forging parts, plastic molds, hot working reamers, rolling cutters, general hot forging molds, hot bolt molds and various hot processing tools.
Other application scenarios:
1. Various scissors, insert blades and woodworking blades.
2. Thread rolling dies and wear-resistant sliding blocks.
3. Cold heading dies and thermosetting resin molds.
4. Deep drawing dies and cold extrusion dies.
