3. SKD61 physical performance

1. SKD61 hardness:

Before heat treatment SKD61 is about HRC15~20 (HB200~230)

Hardness after heat treatment: Internal HRC40°~45°Surface HV1000±100

The density is 7.85g per cubic centimeter

Hardness after TD treatment: internal HRC 40°~45° surface HV2500 or above

4. SKD61 application scope

SKD61 is the most widely used in the die casting mold materials for aluminum and zinc. This steel contains high-temperature-resistant high-alloy steel with tungsten components, which is suitable for hot work, aluminum, magnesium, zinc, copper alloy die casting molds, grooved cutters, scissors and hot forging actions, plastic molds, hot work reamers, rolling cutters, general hot work forging molds, hot bolt molds, various tools in the hot room, etc.

In addition, there are the following uses:

1. Suitable for various scissors, inlaid blades, and woodworking blades.

2. Thread rolling mold and wear-resistant slide.

3. Cold heading mold, thermosetting resin mold.

4. Deep drawing mold, cold extrusion mold.

5. Thick sheets with no more than 2MM thickness, high-efficiency blanking die, punching die and imprinting die.
