IV. Inconel718 material characteristics

  • Easily processable
  • It has high tensile strength, fatigue strength, creep strength and fracture strength at 700°C
  • High oxidation resistance at 1000°C
  • Stable chemical properties at low temperatures
  • Good welding performance

5. Inconel718 Metallographic Structure

GH4169 alloy has an austenite structure, and the γ phase generated after precipitation and hardening gives it excellent mechanical properties. The δ phase generated at the grain boundary during the heat treatment gives it the best plasticity.

6. Inconel718 corrosion resistance

Inconel718 alloy has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting, regardless of high or low temperature environment. Inconel718 alloy has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures

7. Application areas

Because it has high temperature strength, excellent corrosion resistance and easy processing at 700°C, it can be widely used in various high-demand occasions.

  • Steam turbine
  • Liquid fuel rocket
  • Low temperature engineering
  • Acid environment
  • Nuclear Engineering
