1. Introduction to Hastelloy C276 Materials
Hastelloy C-276 alloy is considered to be a universal corrosion-resistant alloy with extremely low silicon carbon content. It is mainly resistant to wet chlorine, various oxidative chlorides, chloride salt solutions, sulfuric acid and oxidative salts, and has good corrosion resistance in low and medium temperature hydrochloric acid. Therefore, in the past 30 years, in harsh corrosive environments, such as chemical industry, petrochemical industry, flue gas desulfurization, pulp and papermaking, and environmental protection, etc., it has been widely used in industrial fields.

4. Hastelloy C276 material characteristics

In the oxidation and reduction state, it has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media.

Excellent resistance to pitting, crevice and stress corrosion cracking.

The metallographic structure of HastelloyC-276: C276 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.

5. HastelloyC-276 corrosion resistance
C276 alloy is suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidation and reducing media. The higher molybdenum and chromium content makes the alloy resistant to the corrosion of chloride ions, and the tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. C276 is one of the only materials that can resist corrosion of damp chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. The alloy has significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chlorinated salt solutions (such as iron chloride and copper chloride).
