1. Introduction to GH3128 Materials

GH3128 (GH128) is a nickel-based alloy that uses tungsten and molybdenum solid solution strengthening and strengthens grain boundaries with boron, cerium and zirconium. It has high plasticity, high long-lasting creep strength, good oxidation resistance and stamping and welding properties. Its comprehensive performance is better than similar nickel-based solid solution alloys such as GH3044 and GH3536. It is suitable for the combustion chamber flame cylinder, afterburner combustion chamber shell, adjustment sheet and other high-temperature parts of aircraft engines that work at 950°C for a long time. The main products are cold-rolled thin plates, and hot-rolled plates, bars, forgings, wires and pipes can also be supplied.

2. GH3128 implementation standard

GB/T14992-2005 “Classification and Grade of High Temperature Materials of High Temperature Alloys and Intermetallic Compounds”

      GB/T14995-2005 “High-temperature alloy hot-rolled plate”

GB/T14996-2005 “High temperature alloy cold-rolled thin plate”

GJB1952A “Specifications for Cold Rolled Thin Plates for High Temperature Alloys for Aviation”

GJB2612 “Specifications for Cold Drawing of High Temperature Alloys for Welding”

GJB3317A “Specifications for Hot Rolled Plates of Aviation High Temperature Alloys”

IV. GH3128 material characteristics

This alloy is a nickel-based alloy that uses tungsten and molybdenum solid solution strengthening and strengthens the grain boundaries with boron, cerium and zirconium. It has high plasticity, high long-lasting creep strength, and good oxidation and stamping and welding properties. Its comprehensive performance is better than similar nickel-based solid solution alloys such as GH3044 and GH3536.

The alloy is single-phase austenite structure in solid solution state and contains a small amount of fine and uniformly distributed TiN and M6C.

 V. GH3128 process performance and requirements

     1. The temperature of the steel ingot forging fashion furnace shall not be higher than 700℃, and the final forging temperature shall be greater than 900℃.

      2. The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation of the forging and the final forging temperature.

     3. GH3128 alloy can be welded by argon arc welding, spot welding, seam welding and other methods.

 6. GH3128 application fields

      1. Flame cylinder of aircraft engine combustion chamber

      2. Structural components of the combustion chamber of the gas turbine

      3. Turbine engine combustion chamber components

      4. Afterburning combustion chamber parts, afterburning combustion chamber housing, adjustment plate
