1. Introduction to 6542 Materials
6542 is a high-speed steel grade, and is a representative steel number of one of the general-purpose high-speed steels in the tungsten and molybdenum system. Its toughness and wear resistance are better than W18Cr4V, and its hardness, red hardness and high-temperature hardness are comparable.

Note: According to the agreement between the supply and demand parties, the content of V can be 1.60 to 2.20
3. 6542 Physical properties
Hardness: Delivery hardness: (other processing methods) ≤262HB; (annealing) ≤255HB.
The heat treatment system of the sample and the quenching hardness: ≥63HRC (box furnace), ≥64HRC (salt bath furnace) Heat treatment specifications: quenching, preheating at 730-840℃, 1210-1230℃ (salt bath furnace) or 1210-1230℃ (box furnace), oil-cooled, 540-560℃ tempered twice, each time for 2 hours.
IV. 6542 application fields
It can be used to manufacture various tools with high impact force, general tool-large and thermoplastic tools, as well as wear parts under high loads, cold work molds, etc.
