1. Introduction to Incoloy800 Materials

Incoloy 800 alloys usually have Cr content of 15-25%, nickel content of 30-45%, and contain a small amount of aluminum and titanium.

Incoloy 800 alloy is in the austenite monomer region since it is fast cooling at high temperatures, so the state of use is a single austenite structure.

Alloys have a high chromium content and sufficient nickel content, so they have high high-temperature corrosion resistance and are widely used in industry.

It has excellent stress corrosion and crack resistance in chloride, low-concentration NaOH aqueous solution and high-temperature and high-pressure water, so it is used to manufacture stress corrosion and crack resistance equipment.

4. Incoloy800 material features

Corrosion resistance: Corrosion resistance is better than general austenitic stainless steel and better than Incoloy 600 alloy;

In the manufacture of corrosion-resistant stress-cracking equipment, it is also better than Incoloy 600 and Monel 400 alloys.

Incoloy800 welding process :

It is suitable for welding with the same material or other metals using any traditional welding process, such as tungsten electrode inert gas protection welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal extremely inert gas protection welding, and melt extremely inert gas protection welding, among which pulse arc welding is the preferred solution. If manual arc welding is used, it is recommended to use (Ar+He+H2+CO2) as the protective gas.

Hot processing:

  • The temperature range is 1200℃~950℃, and the cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
  • In order to obtain the best performance and creep resistance, solid solution treatment must be carried out after hot processing.
  • The material can be directly fed into a furnace that has been heated to 1200°C, and then quickly released after sufficient insulation time, and hot processing is carried out within the specified temperature range. When the material temperature drops below the thermal processing temperature, it needs to be reheated.

Cold processing:

  • The work hardening rate is greater than that of austenitic stainless steel, so the processing equipment needs to be selected. The cold-processed materials should be in a solid solution heat-treated state, and intermediate annealing should be performed when the cold-processed volume is large.
  • If the cold processing volume is greater than 10%, the workpiece needs to be subjected to secondary solid solution treatment.

5. Incoloy800 application field

  • Chemical Industry
  • Nuclear generator
  • Nitrate cooler, acetic anhydride cracking tube
  • Heat exchange equipment, heat exchange tube
