1. Inconel 601 material introduction

      Inconel 601, an alloy material. It has excellent oxidation resistance, good carbonization resistance, good oxidation resistance, sulfur-containing atmosphere, and good mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature. It has good stress corrosion and cracking resistance. Since the carbon content and grain size are controlled, 601 has a high creep fracture strength, it is recommended to use 601 in areas above 500℃.

4. Inconel 601 material characteristics

  • Excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures
  • Very good resistance to carbonization
  • It can have a good antioxidant sulfur-containing atmosphere
  • Good mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature
  • Good stress corrosion cracking resistance. Since the carbon content and grain size are controlled, 601 has a high creep fracture strength, so 601 is recommended in the field above 500°C.
  • The metallographic structure of Inconel 601 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.

5. Corrosion resistance of Inconel 601

      An important property of Inconel 601 alloy is its ability to resist oxidation at temperatures up to 1180°C. Even under very severe conditions, such as during heating and cooling cycles, 601 can form a dense oxide film to obtain high peel resistance. Inconel 601 has good resistance to carbonization. Due to the high chromium and aluminum content, 601 has good oxidation resistance in a high-temperature sulfur-containing atmosphere.
