1. Introduction à la 6063 Matériaux

      6063 is a low alloyed Al-Mg-Si system high-plastic alloy.  6063 has many valuable features :

  •       Heat treatment strengthens, has high impact toughness, and is not sensitive to notches.
  •       Excellent welding performance and corrosion resistance, and no tendency to stress corrosion cracking. Among the heat-treated aluminum alloys, Al-Mg-Si-based alloys are the only alloys that have not been found to have stress corrosion cracking.
  •       The surface is very smooth after processing and is easy to anodize and color. The disadvantage is that after quenching, if it is parked at room temperature for a period of time, it will have an adverse impact on the strength (parking effect).
