1. Introducción 2A14 Materiales

      2A14 aluminum alloy is in hard aluminum alloy, and the old grade is LD10. 2A14 has high copper content, high strength, good thermal strength, good machinability, good resistivity, spot welding and seam welding performance, can be heat-treated and strengthened, and has an extrusion effect, but there are differences in longitudinal and transverse properties. The corrosion resistance is not very good, and the intergranular corrosion tendency and stress corrosion and fracture tendency will appear in the artificial aging state.

2A14 Heat Treatment Specifications

  1) Homogenization annealing: Heating at 475-490℃; insulation for 12-14 hours; furnace cooling.  

  2) Complete annealing: Heat 350~400℃; depending on the effective thickness of the material, the insulation time is 30~120min; cool with the furnace to 300℃ at a speed of 30~50℃/h, and then air-cool.  

  3) Rapid annealing: Heating at 350-460℃; insulation time at 30-120min; air-cooling.  

  4) Quenching and aging: Quenching is 495-505℃, water-cooled; natural aging is 96h room temperature.

 4. 2A14 application fields 

  • 2A14 aluminum alloy is used to manufacture free forgings and die forgings that bear high loads, and is also used in large frames, bridges, large shells, automotive structural parts, etc.
  • 2A14 aluminum is mainly used in aircraft structural parts.
  • Applied to the first stage fuel tank and spacecraft parts of multi-stage rockets.
  • For truck frames and suspension system parts.
